The Reader Approved survey began when readers were asked during September to nominate their favorite businesses in a broad array of categories for each of the three counties that make up the Southern Maryland region.
The top 5 nominees in each category were then placed on a ballot and readers were asked to select their top choice between Oct 9th and Nov 27th.
